OutStart, the leading provider of social business software and learning systems, has immediate opening for a Sr. Customer Support Engineer in our Berlin, Germany office.
We are seeking an experienced support engineer with an established track record of providing high quality support to meet end-user requirements for our family of products. Successful candidate will be proficient in the tools and methods for the products supported. Written and spoken proficiency in both German and English is required to work with international customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate to high complexity.
- Provide hotline support for the product set.
- Ability to generate and publish Technical Application Notes
- Acceptance of responsibility for a product, including beta test.
- Provide Product Defect verification and review.
- Participate in or lead one or more project teams.
- Provide assistance or take responsibility for internal tool or environment administration.
- Occasionally may be called upon to provide on-site customer support.
- Maintain and expand skill level and product knowledge. Identify training needs for professional development.
- Ability to work with other people as a member of a team in a team environment.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical Knowledge
Ideal candidate will be familiar with:
- Server-based applications
- MS Office suite
- HTML, XML and JavaScript
- MS SQL Server and Oracle Database platforms
Familiarity with the following is considered a plus:
Experience and Education
Bachelors’ degree preferred; equivalent on-the-job experience
Two to four years experience
